Form follows function in the Trude Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting, an opal glass wall sconce with a nod to mid-century modern design. Its conical shade of glossy opal glass tapers outward toward the bottom, directing a strong downlight while still glowing softly through the sides. Instead of a conventional arm, the shade is held by precise mechanical metalwork that gives the fixture an engineered, upscale feel. The steel frame is offered in Aged Brass for a classic warmth or Polished Nickel for a cooler, more contemporary look.
Mounted beside a bathroom mirror, this opal glass wall sconce casts useful light downward onto the face and counter. It also works on either side of a bed or along a hallway. Trude takes one 10 watt E12 candelabra B11 bulb and measures 5.75 inches wide, 12.25 inches tall and 5.25 inches deep. Thanks to its damp rating, it suits bathrooms and covered outdoor areas.
