Taking its cue from a classic torch, the Sterling Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting stretches a slender stem to a full 30 inches. This gold leaf wall sconce is topped with a white pleated linen shade, crisp and architectural, and below it an inverted bobeche adds an unexpected touch of softness. The iron and steel frame is finished in Vintage Gold Leaf, a warm, slightly aged gilding that gives the simple form a sense of polish. The look is chic and contemporary while still nodding to tradition.

Use this gold leaf wall sconce to flank a tall mirror, a bed or a pair of French doors, where its height makes a vertical statement. It measures 5.5 inches wide, 30 inches tall and 5.75 inches deep. A single 8 watt E12 candelabra bulb sits under the pleated shade, which diffuses it into a warm, even glow. Its damp rating also permits bathroom use.
