Maitland-Smith's Penny Penguin Cast Brass Sculpture is a small traditional figure in cast brass, inlaid with black penshell and mother of pearl. The contrast of the dark shell and the pale, iridescent pearl against warm brass gives the penguin its playful charm, and because the materials are natural, no two pieces are exactly alike. Standing about ten inches tall, it makes a witty accent on a bookshelf, a desk or a coffee table vignette.
