Hudson Valley's Paoli wall sconce is a smart riff on the industrial wharf light, stripped of its hallmarks and rebuilt with assured minimalism. A wide clear glass shade, 12 inches across, hangs from a slim steel arm, and a delightful band of perforation lets light escape above the rim. The proportions surprise for a sconce, which makes it a good choice over a kitchen counter, in a mudroom, or along a hallway.
