A tribute to the Finnish designer Paavo Tynell, the Paavo 8-Light Chandelier by Hudson Valley Lighting reads like artwork hung from the ceiling. Delicate discs of soft white plaster and gold leaf cascade above an opal glossy glass shade, which is surrounded by more gold leaf. Two additional discs hang below the finial for extra interest. This gold leaf chandelier fills the undersides of the floating discs with light, so the whole composition casts a warm, golden glow. The look is sculptural and contemporary, with a strong mid-century lineage.
At 36" wide, it suits a dining room, a living room or a generous entry with good ceiling height. Overall height adjusts from 32.25" to 86.25". The gold leaf chandelier uses eight E12 candelabra bulbs rated up to 60 watts each and is damp rated. Its glowing discs make it a statement piece that rewards placement in a room where people linger and look up.
