Modern and transitional ideas meet in the Narrowsburg Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting. This rattan wall sconce features an upturned half-dome of clear glass that flows into a longer glass tube, through which you can see a tight rattan wrap around the stem. A looping stem finished in aged brass supports the glass and adds a graceful curve. The interplay of clear glass, natural fiber and warm metal gives an everyday fixture eye-catching detail. It is a practical design with real personality.

Measuring 6 inches wide and 14.5 inches tall with a 7.5-inch projection, Narrowsburg fits beside a kitchen window, above a bathroom vanity, or along a stair wall. It takes one 10-watt E12 candelabra T8 bulb and is damp rated, which suits baths and covered entries. A rattan wall sconce like this brings warmth to coastal, cottage and organic modern homes, and a pair looks charming on either side of a farmhouse sink window.
