Discreet by design, the Melbourne 30" Picture Light by Hudson Valley Lighting is a brass picture light that puts the artwork first. A long integrated LED bar, behind a white acrylic diffuser, is held out from the wall by a sleek brass frame. The thin profile keeps visual distraction to a minimum while spreading even light across the canvas. Two finishes are offered: solid Aged Brass, or Aged Brass paired with Distressed Bronze for a darker two-tone. Hudson Valley's own text names the second finish Old Bronze, so check the swatch.
The 30-inch length is the largest of three sizes, best suited to substantial paintings above a fireplace, a long sofa, or a dining room buffet. It extends 7.25 inches and stands 2.75 inches tall. The integrated LED draws 12 watts. It is hardwired, not dimmable, and damp rated. This brass picture light also works over a bookcase, a framed mirror, or a gallery of family photographs in a hallway.
