The Martin Side Table draws inspiration from the quiet strength of classic industrial forms, where craftsmanship and material take center stage. A cylindrical wrought iron base composed of slender vertical rods creates a rhythmic architectural presence, reminiscent of the ironwork found in historic libraries and ateliers. Above, a smoke eucalyptus veneer top rests within a warm leather-wrapped tray, lending the piece the feeling of a well-appointed gentleman’s club—where a drink, a book, or a treasured object might find its place. The interplay of metal, wood, and leather reflects Maitland-Smith’s enduring appreciation for storied materials and collected living.
