Glass is the star of the Lago 4-Light Semi-Flush Mount by Hudson Valley Lighting, a hand-blown glass semi-flush mount with a mesmerizing glow. The round shade is a thick piece of hand-blown piastra glass, each one with a unique, opaque white Blanchino center. Mounted close to the ceiling, the light fills the glass and bounces back from the ceiling into it, creating an almost motion-like effect. A decorative aged brass finial finishes the design with a warm accent. Each piece is subtly unique.
At 24 inches wide and 7.75 inches tall, Lago is well suited to a living room, a primary bedroom, a dining room with lower ceilings, or a large hallway. It uses four 60 watt E12 candelabra bulbs for ample light. This hand-blown glass semi-flush mount is damp rated, so it can also be installed in a bathroom. Because the glow reflects off the ceiling, a light paint color above the fixture makes the most of the effect, and the thick glass hides the bulbs well.
