An antique jug inspired the gourd-shaped base of the Kearny Table Lamp by Hudson Valley Lighting. This blue ceramic table lamp wears a painterly reactive seaglass glaze, where shifting shades of blue pool and blend across the curved surface to suggest water and sky. Because the glaze reacts differently on every piece, each base has its own character. A conical white linen shade gives the traditional shape a contemporary lift, while aged brass hardware adds a warm finishing note. The overall effect is artistic and relaxed, connecting interiors to the outdoors.
Measuring 19 inches wide and 26.75 inches tall, Kearny suits a living room side table, a sideboard in a dining room, or a bedside table in a coastal-style bedroom. It uses one 15-watt E26 medium base bulb and features a full-range dimmer for adjustable ambiance. It is dry rated. Place this blue ceramic table lamp where its glaze can be seen up close, since the color variations reward a second look.
