Fine materials and mid-century detailing lift the minimal hourglass shape of the Irondale Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting. On this hourglass wall sconce, vertical knurling runs along the stem and flows straight into hand-cut clear etched glass above and below, a smooth handoff between metal and glass that gives the piece texture and rhythm. Finished in Aged Brass, it casts light both upward and downward, so it reads as decorative while working hard. It is modern and refined, with a jeweler's attention to its joints.
At 4.25 inches wide, 12.25 inches tall and 5 inches deep, this hourglass wall sconce fits neatly beside a bathroom mirror, along a narrow hallway, or on either side of a bed. Its up and down light makes it effective on stair walls as well, where it washes the wall in two directions at once. It takes one 15 watt E26 medium T10 bulb and is damp rated for use in bathrooms.
