The most compact of the family, this vintage brass pendant distills the Hoshi idea into an intimate size. The Hoshi 15" Pendant by Corbett Lighting, from the Noz Nozawa collection, takes its cue from hoshigaki, persimmons hung on string to dry in Japanese tradition, and from the light paper lanterns of Isamu Noguchi. A silk shade hangs from a T-bar and link chain in Vintage Brass, filtering light into a soft, warm glow. At 15 inches wide and 20.75 inches tall, it keeps the playful shape while staying light on the eye.

Group three of these vintage brass pendants over a kitchen island, hang a pair as bedside lights, or use one above a breakfast nook or in a small entry, where the larger Hoshi sizes would overwhelm the space. It takes one 15-watt E26 medium A19 bulb, and overall height adjusts from 30.25 to 95.5 inches. The fixture is 15 inches wide and damp rated.
