The silhouette of a clamshell inspired the Hayworth 8-Light Chandelier by Hudson Valley Lighting, an artisanal spin on coastal design. This woven chandelier nests two large shades woven from neutral-hued abaca rope, one inside the other, creating a shade that feels dense yet surprisingly airy. Light glows through the weave with a warm, textured quality. A triple-chain suspension finished in Vintage Gold Leaf supports the fixture, adding a refined gilded note. Because abaca is a natural fiber, color and pattern vary slightly from piece to piece.

At 44 inches wide and 17.75 inches tall, Hayworth floats beautifully over a long dining table, in an entry hall, or above a living room seating area in a beach house. The overall height adjusts from 37 to 70.5 inches. It uses eight 10-watt E12 candelabra B11 bulbs and is damp rated. This woven chandelier is also available with six lights for smaller rooms, so you can scale the clamshell form to the space you have.
