Two broad, woven shades echo the curve of a clamshell in the Hayworth 6-Light Chandelier by Hudson Valley Lighting, an abaca chandelier that puts an artisanal spin on coastal design. The shades are woven from neutral-hued abaca rope and feel light and relaxed, while a chain in Vintage Gold Leaf provides a sleek point of contrast. An opening at the bottom of the shade concentrates light into a beam that illuminates a large area below. As a natural material, the abaca varies slightly in color and pattern from piece to piece.

At 30.25 inches wide and 11.75 inches tall, Hayworth suits a dining table in a beach house, a sunroom, or a living room with a casual mood. Overall height adjusts from 31.25 to 67 inches. Hardwired and not dimmable, it holds six 8-watt E12 candelabra bulbs and is damp rated for covered porches. This abaca chandelier pairs well with whitewashed wood.
