Glass fibre reinforced concrete gives the panel its substance and its matte, tactile face, a material chosen because it holds fine surface detail while standing up to weather far better than cast plaster. The cream finish keeps the mass from reading as heavy or industrial, warming the concrete toward something closer to stone.
