The Tortugo Side Table by Eichholtz sets a black tempered glass top on a base of glass fibre reinforced concrete in a black finish. The matte, mineral concrete absorbs light while the glossy glass reflects it, so the compact table reads as two contrasting surfaces stacked together. Just over a foot across, its weighty base keeps it steady beside a sofa, an armchair or a bed.
