A high gloss shell wrapped around soft upholstery is demanding to execute, and the contrast gives the Sebastian its presence.

Eucalyptus veneer is lacquered to a high gloss across the outer shell, a finish that reflects the room around it and turns the back of the chair into a surface worth looking at, which matters because a swivel chair is seen from every angle by definition. Inside, loki natural upholstery in a 58% polyester and 42% olefin blend is rated to 40,000 Martindale rubs with colour fastness to light at 5 out of 5, the top of the scale, so a pale interior holds its tone even beside a window.

The swivel base is its practical advantage in an open-plan room, letting one seat serve a fireplace, a television and a conversation group in turn.
