The floor version switches with a foot rather than a hand, which is the correct arrangement at this height.

At 55.12 inches tall, reaching a switch on the body of a floor lamp means bending down to it. A floor switch on the cable sits where your foot already is, so the lamp can be operated from a standing or seated position without thinking about it. On a lamp whose whole appeal is an unbroken column of stone, keeping the hardware off the fitting matters twice over.

Alabaster transmits light rather than blocking it, glowing from within with its veining visible through the illumination, and no two pieces are alike. Part of the Corey Damen Jenkins collaboration.
