Nothing is given over to structure behind you, so the Gavona chair is effectively a compact daybed with arms. Curl up sideways with a book, stretch out for an afternoon, or use it as the corner piece of a low seating group beside the matching sofa. At 48.82 inches wide it is a chair and a half, which is what that depth demands to look balanced. Arms at just 18.90 inches keep everything low and horizontal, so it suits a garden room, a media room or a large open living space where a tall-backed chair would break the sightline. Withmore greige sits happily against pale oak and linen or against black steel and stone. The cloth is 100% polyester rated beyond 80,000 Martindale rubs with pilling and colour fastness at 4 to 5 of 5.
