A shallow bowl is where handblown glass shows its colour most convincingly, because light passes through the thinnest section of the piece.

In a tall vase the eye reads colour through several inches of glass at the base and almost none at the rim, producing a gradient. A bowl this shallow keeps the wall thickness relatively even, so the peach tone reads consistently across the whole vessel and the surface glows rather than shifting. That makes it the clearest expression of the colour in the Alessio group.

The glass is certified to the Global Recycled Standard, with recycled content independently verified through the supply chain. At 4.72 inches high with a 15.75 inch diameter, it is wide and low, sized to sit centrally on a dining table or coffee table and hold fruit, or nothing at all.
