Industrial detailing refines a classic form in the Duell 18" Picture Light by Hudson Valley Lighting. This brass picture light uses a clean cylindrical shade wrapped in fine knurling, a gripped texture that catches light along its length. The profile stays slender and the backplate streamlined, so the fixture recedes when you are looking at the art. Oversized brackets and rectangular arm backs then add a dose of architectural interest. Two options are offered: all-over Aged Brass, or Distressed Bronze with Aged Brass accents for more contrast against a painted wall.

At 18 inches wide, this brass picture light suits a medium canvas, a framed print above a sofa or a row of books on built-in shelving. The arm reaches 8 inches out from the wall, and the shade is 2.75 inches tall. It takes a 10 watt lamp and is compatible with TRIAC dimmers, so you can tune the brightness to the artwork. The fixture is damp rated.
