Mid-century modernism gets a decorative twist in the Demarest Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting. A tapered white linen shade sits atop a mixed-metal frame finished in Distressed Bronze, decorated with Aged Brass beads that read like jewelry against the darker metal. An arched arm loops beneath the fixture, an architectural accent that balances the simple geometry of the rest of the design. This mixed metal wall sconce is contemporary in spirit with a nod to vintage form. The two-tone finish lets it bridge warm and dark palettes in one room.

Mount it beside a bed for reading, flanking a living room sofa, or in a study where a softly shaded wall light is welcome. The mixed metal wall sconce is 7.75" wide and 18.75" tall, projecting 10" from the wall. It uses one 8 watt E12 candelabra bulb, is hardwired and is damp rated, so a bathroom with an open wall is also a possibility.
