Like rainfall caught mid-descent, the Darcia 2-Light Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting is an aged brass wall sconce hung with tiers of smooth glass teardrops. Each piece is hand-blown Blonchino Piastra glass, so tones and patterns differ slightly from one fixture to the next. Suspended in cascading rows from a steel and brass frame, the drops recall seashells as much as water, and they scatter and soften the light as it passes through. The Aged Brass finish adds a warm undertone that makes the glass glow rather than glare.
Mount Darcia on either side of a fireplace, above a dining room sideboard, or in a primary bath where its damp rating allows. At 13.75 inches wide, 20.25 inches tall and 7.25 inches deep, this aged brass wall sconce has real presence on the wall. It is hardwired, is not dimmable, and holds two 8-watt E12 candelabra bulbs, which sit discreetly behind the cascading glass.
