Softness and structure balance each other in the Cornell 12" 2-Light Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting. This silk shade wall sconce features a hand-pleated ivory silk shade held within a frame of slender vertical brass rods. The aged brass finish gives the rods a warm, gently worn tone, and their straight lines contrast with the folds of the fabric. The silhouette is streamlined but carries a vintage charm, much like a tailored lampshade reworked for the wall. This is the narrower of two Cornell 2-light sizes, chosen for its compact proportions.

The silk shade wall sconce is a natural layering piece beside a bed, on either side of a powder room mirror, or along a stair landing. It is ADA compliant, extending only 4 inches from the wall, which makes it a good fit for corridors. It measures 12 inches wide and 8.75 inches tall and uses two 10-watt E12 candelabra B11 bulbs. The sconce carries a damp rating.
