Built for flexibility, the Clark Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting is an aged brass wall sconce with a swivel head that lets you aim light exactly where you want it. The compact shade is white alabaster, a natural stone that softens and warms the glow, with slight variations in pattern from piece to piece. Aged Brass covers both the head and the backplate, which features a convenient turn knob for control right at the fixture. The overall look is design-led and refined, while the adjustability makes it a genuinely useful task light.

Clark is small at 4.25 inches wide and 11.5 inches tall, with a 6.5-inch extension. Mount it beside a bed for reading, above a desk, or next to a favorite armchair. It is hardwired and not dimmable, and it takes one 14-watt GU10 bulb. Damp rated, this aged brass wall sconce also suits a bathroom, where it can be angled toward a mirror or shelf as needed.
