Handmade paper is shaped into a quiet, architectural form in the Celmins Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting, a paper shade wall sconce that grew out of the Cy floor lamp. The angular shade is finished in Soft White and trimmed with mushroom-colored whipstitching, a detail that highlights the craft behind its construction. The paper diffuses the light into a warm, gentle glow. The family also includes a two-light sconce and a coordinating floor lamp, so the same soft, sculptural look can carry through a home.
Celmins is 11 inches wide, 7.5 inches tall, and extends 4.25 inches from the wall, a low, wide profile that suits a bedroom, a hallway, or the space above a console. It uses one 10 watt E12 B11 candelabra bulb, which keeps the paper glowing softly. This paper shade wall sconce is damp rated, and it brings a calm, handcrafted note to minimalist interiors.
