Fuller and more theatrical than its smaller sibling, the Cedar Hill 9-Light Chandelier by Hudson Valley Lighting builds a lush, tiered cascade of painterly glass. Each Blonchino Piastra panel curls gently outward, and with nine lights the layers multiply, giving the fixture real volume and depth. Seen from the side it suggests a bunch of grapes on the vine, while from underneath it unfurls like a rose. This Piastra glass chandelier hangs from an iron frame finished in Vintage Gold Leaf, a warm gilt that makes the glass glow.
At 39 inches wide and 19.75 inches tall, this mid-size version anchors a formal dining room, a living room, or a spacious entry. Overall height adjusts from 37.25 to 72.5 inches. It takes nine 10-watt E12 candelabra B11 bulbs and is damp rated. Hang it where it can be viewed from below to appreciate the rose-like bloom. This Piastra glass chandelier also comes in 5- and 17-light sizes.
