The Carter Small Table Lamp from Ralph Lauren sets a crisp paper shade over a hand-thrown porcelain base in black, a form rooted in ancient Chinese pottery. Offered as well in white porcelain, the design carries that lineage into modern spaces with characteristic restraint.
The small scale suits a bedside table, a study shelf, or a console where warm, unimposing illumination is wanted, one lamp for a quiet corner or a pair for balance. The hand-thrown base brings the quiet character of the potter's wheel to the composition, a detail the discerning eye appreciates nightly.
