Clean, sleek and decidedly modern, the Brim Chandelier by Hudson Valley Lighting rethinks how a shade and a light source relate. Instead of a traditional rod, three thin wires suspend a wide shade, soft white plaster outside and gold leaf within, from the canopy. The wires continue below the shade so an opal glossy glass globe hovers beneath it rather than sitting inside. This plaster and gold leaf chandelier lets light flow freely from the globe while also bouncing off the gilded underside of the shade, creating a warm halo above.
At 36" wide, it suits a dining table, a living room seating area or a primary bedroom with space for a statement. The overall height adjusts from 25" to an impressive 125", so it can also drop into a tall stairwell or foyer. This plaster and gold leaf chandelier is damp rated, and its globe-below-shade arrangement gives both a downward glow and a warm reflection on the gilded interior.
