Eight candelabra lights glow inside clear glass on the Baxter 8-Light Lantern by Hudson Valley Lighting, a polished nickel lantern built from solid brass. The frame is tall and slender, with clean vertical lines that let the clear panels do most of the talking, so the light inside reads crisp and bright. Polished nickel adds a cool, reflective sheen that suits both traditional millwork and a more pared-back transitional interior. It is a classic lantern form handled with restraint, substantial enough to anchor a room without crowding it visually.
Hang the Baxter in a two-story entry, over a kitchen island, or down a long hallway where its height draws the eye upward. The body measures 15 inches wide by 34 inches tall, and overall hanging height adjusts from 37 to 91 inches. It uses eight 60 watt E12 candelabra bulbs and is damp rated, which also makes this polished nickel lantern a fit for a covered porch or sheltered loggia.
