A single leaf of solid India brass curls away from the wall in the Avondale Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting, an aged brass wall sconce that feels as much sculpture as light. The abstract shade has the slight irregularity of hand-worked metal, giving it an artisan warmth that factory-perfect fixtures lack. Light falls behind and around the leaf, washing the wall in a soothing glow rather than shining outward. Its mid-century modern silhouette is versatile enough to sit comfortably in a modern loft, a rustic retreat or a transitional family home.
Standing 23.5 inches tall and 7.75 inches wide, with a 9.75-inch extension, Avondale has the scale to flank a sofa, frame a headboard, or add ambient light to a dining room wall. It is damp rated, so a primary bath is also suitable. This aged brass wall sconce takes one 60-watt E26 medium bulb. Pair it with the 3-light Avondale semi-flush mount for continuity.
