Oversized proportions give the Ashland 6-Light Pendant by Hudson Valley Lighting its confident, modern take on the drum. This linen drum pendant wraps a white linen shade around six sockets, with an etched glass diffuser fitted inside to spread a soft, even glow across a large room. An aged brass canopy and finial add polished detail at either end. The design is crisp and clean, with nothing superfluous, and the wide fabric drum keeps the light warm and diffused rather than sharp.

At 32 inches wide and 10.25 inches tall, this pendant is scaled for a dining room, a living room, or a spacious entry. The overall height adjusts from 22.75 to an unusually generous 122 inches, so it suits very tall ceilings. It takes six 15-watt E26 medium A19 bulbs and is damp rated. A linen drum pendant this size can light an entire room on its own, especially above a large round table.
