Sharp angles meet soft curves on the Andros Wall Sconce by Hudson Valley Lighting, an opal glass wall sconce with an architectural edge. The conical shade hangs from an L-shaped backplate, giving it the outline of a bell, and its end is bias-cut into an elliptical opening that throws light out into the room. The opal matte glass diffuses the bulb without glare. Choose Aged Brass for a warmer, more classic reading or Old Bronze for a darker, more modern contrast on the steel metalwork.
With a 6.25 inch extension and a slim 5 inch width, Andros fits beside a bathroom vanity, along a gallery wall, or flanking a bed in place of table lamps. It stands 16.25 inches tall and uses one 15 watt E26 A15 bulb. Because it is damp rated, this opal glass wall sconce also handles a steamy bath or covered entry, and a pair of them makes a tidy frame for a mirror or a doorway.
