A seven-foot aluminum shaft made to be set straight into the ground, Hinkley's 7' Direct Burial Post gives an outdoor post lantern a permanent, sturdy footing without a separate base. Bury the lower section deep enough to hold it firm (Hinkley calls for at least 18 inches below grade), then crown it with a matching post-top lantern to light a driveway entrance, front walk, or garden path. Its slim profile stays understated, and several finishes are offered to coordinate with the fixture above.
