The Atlas Holding Sculpture has a storied namesake. In Greek mythology, Atlas was the Titan god of endurance whom Zeus tasked with holding up the celestial heavens for eternity. The figure supporting the black wood block on this black sculpture has as weighty a job as the mythical hero. With this sculpture, we've taken a piece of chamcha wood that would have been one of Nature's castaways and made it into an elemental design statement. Combined with the clean black metal base, the overall style is fitting for a number of interiors, including contemporary, modern farmhouse, and industrial chic. Knots, gouges, small cracks & nail holes are inherent characteristics of many wood products & DO NOT constitute damage/defects. All metal will have welding marks since all items are made by hand. All metal, wood & Stone is unique & variations in color, shape & size are to be expected. All upholstered items are hand woven and will have some sort of minor imperfections. Due to the nature of handcrafted products, dimensions, details & / or colors represented may vary. The antique / one of a kind product may vary significantly, & any differences in sizing, shape, color to these one-of-a-kind pieces DOES NOT constitute damages & will not be accepted to be returned.
